I was cleaning my harddrives off and came across some pics of my mom’s children (or as she calls them.. Her Perfect Children Of The Forest).. Yes my mother is slightly on the excentric side.
She got her “boys” about 5 years ago.. hand raised and they are her babies.. Well unfortunately these babies live on average 60-80 years..
Thor : Greenwing Macaw and Oz is a Military Macaw.
So the deal Lisa and I made.. I put up with her kids and she has to put up with the fact that living with me is going to mean at some point she will inherit 2 very lively, pain in the ass macaws who can be sweet as hell until they decide they need to tear apart the closest dresser, chair or slow moving human.
Am I worried about our two cats? No, The cats should be able to run faster than the macaws..
So next time you think about baggage just keep in mind we all have family baggage, some human, some not.. but still family

I read your post about inheriting the macaws, and just wanted to say that you are very luck to be owned by two of the most majestic creatures in all the world. I am currently owned by 8 birds myself and always looking for more!!! If you ever decide you can’t or don’t want to take care of them they would always be welcome here. BIRD FREAK TOO
